Danjuro Tobita, a boy, longed to be a Hero and his name would be remembered in history books. Danjuro was close to being expelled due to his poor grades, repeated problems, and failure at the Provisional Licence Examination 4 times. This would be a disaster that would destroy his dream.
His mother was devastated, but Danjuro didn’t give up and assured her that he would do his best. Danjuro spotted Takeshita, his classmate, on his return trip. Takeshita had already obtained his license and was highly sought after by many agencies.
Danjuro witnessed a window cleaner falling from his chair during a tea party at a tearoom. Danjuro attempted to be a Hero and saved the man using an elastic air disk that could act as a trampoline. However, the disc struck a Pro Hero who was trying to save him. The window washer fell from the building and spent six months in hospital.For obstruction of justice, the police sued the Tobita relatives. His family went into debt to pay the window washer and address the complaint about obstruction and Quirk using without a licence. His family was disgraced and hateful and Danjuro was violently expelled. Danjuro was shocked to see his dreams vanish and decided to live in a rented apartment and as a freeter for the next four years.
Danjuro, 22 years old, was walking along the street when he saw Takeshita who was a Pro Hero. Danjuro ran up and reminded Takeshita of his school days. But Takeshita didn’t remember him. Danjuro was devastated to realize that his life was not happy and would soon lead him to a painful and difficult old age. He would soon die from poverty and suffering after a long and difficult life.
Danjuro came to this terrifying conclusion because he wanted to be remembered and make a name for his self. It was either that or not. Danjuro ran home, and he took out an old book about the history of supervillains. If Danjuro was not to be a Hero, the man would become a notorious Villain and the world would never forget him.
Six years later Danjuro was a Gentle Criminal. He is a gentleman villain who uploads videos detailing his crimes in order to attain, in his case: infamy. His ineptness with electronic media kept him from becoming a popular figure. His videos inspired Manami Aiba (a young woman who was going through deep depression), to make her own videos. Manami was fascinated by Gentle the gentleman thief and used her hacking skills in order to locate him. She introduced herself as his biggest fan and offered to help him realize his dreams.Even though the thought of having a fan cheered him, Danjuro did not want a girl to become his accomplice in criminal acts. This would have led to her being pursued by the police. The girl, who knew that hacking was already a crime, was determined to help him. Danjuro hired Manami as his assistant and made her help him with his computer problems. He developed a deep affection for her.
Danjuro was shocked to learn about Manami’s dark circles under her eyes. He used a felt-tip pen to draw dark circles around himself as a gesture of solidarity. Then he wrote down a name for his Villain: “La Brava” He had accepted Manami as she was, and Gentle had become the light in her life. While La Brava films him, Danjuro robs a shop. Some Heroes attempt to stop him but he defeats them all (after asking his partner not to continue filming). Gentle and La Brava switch on the camera once more. The Heroes are out of action, and the entire shop shakes like jelly. Gentle leaves the shop and does not take the money from the till. He then reveals his alias as Gentle Criminal. Gentle Criminal is an eccentric, elegant gentleman Villain who seeks eternal fame and money.La Brava, a La Brava representative, informs Gentle from the top of a building that their most recent video has received very few views. Gentle realizes that he must do more if he wants history to be made. After a cup of tea, Gentle informs La Brava that he must come up with something unique for his next video.
Gentle later asks La Brava at their home if the video from the J Store robbery of a while back is still available. She confirms. Gentle explains why he robbed the J Store. It had concealed the expiry dates for Fluffy Puddings, which were almost due to expire. Although there was evidence of the sales confusion, the pudding company deceived and concealed the evidence, putting nearly-expired products on shelves.
Gentle is a man who despises those who behave badly and calls himself modern gentleman. He punishes these types of people but doesn’t resort to violence as a rule.
Gentle is furious at the lack of views after the video has been uploaded. Gentle attempts to minimize it but La Brava is furious that Gentle tried for six years to be a famous online Villain. She has not been able to because of the biographical videos about Stain and the Villain Union.Gentle doesn’t fear Stain’s popularity. His next plan is to interfere in the Yuei high school Cultural Fest. This school is the emblem of the Heroes, and it has been strengthened after the Villain Union attack. He could also get into the Festival to see the spectacle, and he would be the focal point of attention immediately.
Gentle will be working non-stop for the next few weeks while La Brava provides tea to help him. Gentle points out that today’s Heroes are unhappy because of their fragile nature. La Brava brings him tea to support him. La Brava inquires if Gentle intends to include the students. The gentleman thief responds that his plan will still be a lesson for them, so they can learn from each other’s mistakes and become stronger. La Brava agrees, saying that Gentle’s idea is fantastic.Gentle reviews his plan on his computer. La Brava and Gentle then head to a small cafe, before they start with the actual plan. They will enjoy a 90-minute break in the cafe, where they will be drinking Imperial Golden Tips tea, which is the Villain’s favorite.
The infiltration begins: they will cover themselves in mud to prevent Hound Dog from hearing them. La Brava will then use her hacking skills and penetrate the security system to disable it. Sensors, alarms and doors will all be turned off. The Festival will be graced by Gentle, who will undoubtedly prove his talents to the rest of the world.Gentle would like to thank La Brava for her outstanding support and all the help she gave him since the day that he arrived at her home. Gentle assures her that her feelings will be responded to by the success of the intrusion. La Brava, beaming with joy, embraces Gentle, declaring her love for him.
The day of plan: Gentle and La Brava have finished their tea break. Now the plan is about start. They meet Izuku Mioriya as soon as they leave their small bar. Gentle is more concerned about getting distracted and losing the taste of the Golden Tips Imperial Tea he just had. Izuku makes an apology.

Izuku claims he watched a video in which the gentleman thief showed off his favorite tea, Imperial Golden Tips. Gentle asks La Brava for permission to film and prepares himself for the fight. Gentle is told by Izuku to leave his school and prepares for the fight.
Gentle compliments Izuku for his intelligence as the boy attempts to attack him, but ends up standing on an elastic barrier. Gentle’s Quirk is exposed: Elasticity. This ability makes everything elastic by touching it. Gentle uses a Gently Rebound to fight off Izuku while the man remarks on his hatred for violence. He then tries to escape with La Brava but Izuku returns and attempts to attack.
Gentle is able to use his Quirk to get on the ground and generate a Gently Trampoline. Izuku then bounces on it. Gentle is informed by La Brava that Izuku has been recognized by her. Gentle decides to speed up the plans and invade right away.Deku is able to get out of the Gently Trampoline. He also realizes the danger. In the event of an invasion, the festival would be cancelled. All the work by students would be lost. Eri, still traumatized from Overhaul, needs to smile and find joy.
Deku fires a Delaware Smash Air Force at Gentle and hits him in mid-air. The Villain is stopped briefly by Deku, but Izuku can push the villain into construction sites. Izuku says that everyone shares his feelings about the Festival and won’t let Gentle ruin it.Gentle’s jacket gets caught on a beam and he hangs in mid-air. Danjuro attempts to convince Izuku that he will let him in to the Festival. He claims that he won’t sound the alarms, and that he doesn’t want to hurt anyone. Izuku is determined not to let him in.
Gentle realizes that he cannot convince him with words, so he uses a trampoline for jumping. Izuku attempts to stop him but the Villain begins touching every beam within his reach, making the entire construction site a soft, elastic jelly. Izuku attempts to fire pressurized-air blasts but the elastic beams bounce off of the shots and Deku hits himself.Gentlely stops, and says that he has removed all screws and supports. The whole structure will collapse. Elasticity cannot be disabled, but objects that are affected by it slowly return to their normal state. Izuku spots an elderly man passing by, attracted to the chaos caused by the crash. The structure collapses once more due to elasticity. Izuku stops the beam at the last moment and saves the innocent bystander.
Gentle is furious at Izuku for putting a civilian in danger. However, Gentle says that even though he knew it would happen, if Izuku had not made it in the time he needed, he would have built a trampoline to bounce Izuku to safety. Gentle elasticizes the arm a crane’s crane so that it can be used as a slingshot to launch him towards Yuei using La Brava.
Gentle tells Izuku that he should be comfortable and then launches himself with a crane. Gentle catches Izuku trying to fire a shot at a distance. He notices the boy’s determination.

Gentle thanked her and apologised to Izuku before releasing her grip on La Brava. Gentle uses a karate maneuver on Izuku’s back to end the fight and continues the infiltration. Izuku blocks the blow using his arm and attempts to fire another Delaware Smash Air Force.Gentle calls Izuku “incorrigible” and both are rebuffed by the shot. Brava apologizes to Gentle for her insufficient love. However, Gentle informs Brava that nothing can prove her feelings aren’t enough. Izuku is then attacked by Gentle Sandwich. He insists that he must live up to his dream. Gentle will not give up no matter what Izuku tells him. Gentle answers Izuku’s question about why he is stubborn. Izuku attempts to get up but is bounced away. The fight continues.
Izuku and Gentle fight, while La Brava cheers on her gentlemen thief. Izuku begins to feel the worst and then realizes that Love is his true power. Gentle questions Izuku about why he would like to be a Hero. Izuku says that his dream is not his only and he fights for all who believe in him. He wants to make a better world for everyone. Gentle is able to smile at this touching reply.
Gentle rejects Izuku, and La Brava uses this opportunity to hack into Yuei’s security system using her computer. She is out of reach and she is forced to come close.
Izuku is aware of this, but Gentle tries his best to keep him busy. Gentle uses his spring barriers as a bouncer to Izuku’s face, but the boy keeps his guard up and minimizes the damage. Gentle continues to use his spring barriers to pound Izuku to the floor. Gentle has a deep respect for Izuku and shouts that he will do whatever it takes to defeat him.La Brava approaches Yuei while La Brava waits, but is unable move because Hound Dog, a group Ectoplasm clones, and others have seen the fight from far. Gentle avoids all but one of the pressurized air blasts that Izuku attempts to use on him while he is still on the ground. Gentle loses his balance, and is confused. Izuku launches a Shoot Style St. Louis Smash on Gentle, and knocks him to the ground. Izuku admitted that it was the most difficult fight because he preferred to avoid the confrontation.
La Brava returns to the harsh truth that Gentle Criminal is dead. Devastated, sobbing and crying, La Brava attempts to hit Izuku. She says that Gentle has invested his heart and soul in this plan and that she doesn’t know how to live without him. Gentle tries to convince her to flee but she refuses. Gentle realises that if La Brava agrees with him to commit crimes, it could lead to even worse crimes.Gentle blames himself for the assistant’s behavior and knows she will be arrested as his accomplice. The gentleman thief uses his Lover Mode energy to push Izuku aside and bounce him away. He then hugges La Brava and asks Izuku for his forgiveness. This will allow him to ensure that the girl has a bright future. Gentle and La Brava are found by the Ectoplasm and Hound Dog. The Gentleman Villain surrenders.
One of the Ectoplasm Clones recognizes Gentle, a Villain known for his quick escapes. Hound Dog grabs Gentle, and asks him to reveal the identities of his companions. However, Gentle denies that he has any accomplices. Hound notices Gentle looking battered and dirty. Gentle replies that he fell and tripped. Dog does not buy this and believes that he is a Yuei student.Gentle insists that La Brava was brainwashed and that he didn’t fight but fell during the brief interrogation. Hound Dog detects Izuku’s presence and questions Gentle. He claims that Gentle was only trying to play a joke on La Brava and that he had a small fight with the gentleman thief. But everything is fine now. Brava, crying inconsolably, tells Gentle that he is happy that he fought with Izuku.
Hound Dog is still suspicious but confirms that the Festival will continue as planned. Gentle and La Brava are taken to the station by the Pro Heroes. Gentle tells Izuku about his past dreams of becoming a Hero. However, this dream was denied to him. Gentle remembers Izuku’s words from the fight and hopes that his feelings will reach others.Danjuro is later interrogated and interrogated again by a gorilla-like inspector. Tobita attempts to defend Manami by claiming that he brainwashed him. The detective reveals Gentle’s crimes and Gentle keeps insisting that La Brava was innocent.
