Goblin Slayer Season 2: No release date yet
Official confirmation that Goblin Slayer season 2, was in development, was made at GA FES 2021. This Livestream event was held by Goblin Slayer light-novel publishing house GA Bunko in January 2020. GA Bunko released a promo poster via Twitter and a trailer on YouTube, but studios have not yet announced when season 2 will be out.
The Funimation anime Goblin Slayer season 1 was released in late 2018. It usually takes between 6-12 months from announcement to release. Goblin Slayerseason 2, however, has already exceeded the time limit. The next installment of the series is expected to drop sometime in 2022. Projections range from July. Goblin Slayer Season 2 Story Details
The plot details of Goblin Slayer season 2, are as scarce as the release date. However, it is possible to infer what the second season will focus on based on what the anime and Goblin Slayer movies covered. Season 1 of Goblin Slayer franchise featured events from the first two volumes Goblin Slayer light novels series.
Goblin Slayer adapted volume 5. It’s probable Goblin slayer season 2 will adapt the events from volumes 3-4, and possibly 6 of this light novel series.

Goblin Slayer manga/light novel comparison to the
anime
An anime adaptation that is well done will often have a great ending point. This allows the story to drive toward closure without rushing the viewers. The Overlord anime series is a good example. However, Overlord Season 4 may not be able to achieve that goal. Read the article for more information.

The light novel series offers more worldbuilding and backstory than the manga/anime. The order of events is also changed, with Goblin Slayer getting his hair colored from black to gray. The Sword Maiden/Water Town storyarc in the light novels/manga took place after the Goblin Lord invaded the farm. This was the original ending of the first light book.
Studio White Fox may have changed the story arcs because of the farm invasion, which made the second season more epic. This point provided more resolution by showing Goblin Slayer’s character growth.
The anime adaptation of Goblin Slayer was paced by Episode 3. By Episode 3, the manga chapter 6 had been completed. Episode 4’s ending was in line with manga chapter 9, and completed the first volume of light novels.
Episodes 5 & 6 adapted their titles from Volume 2’s first two chapters. In the second half of the first anime season, the story arc for the Sword Maiden character was introduced. Sword Maiden, a gold-ranked adventurer, suffered terrible at the hands goblins but managed to defeat a Demon Lord. These events culminated with the terrible fight against a Goblin Champion.
The anime adaptations of two books and 29 chapters from manga were totaled to 23. Goblin Slayer Episode 12 concluded with the conclusion of the first light novel. Some stories were also taken from the Brand New Day gaiden books.
Good news: Goblin Slayer Season 2 will be able to fit into the light novel series. English-only readers can also jump in and read the manga ahead of the anime. Unfortunately, the manga adaptation is not as accurate as the anime.
Even if you’ve seen the anime before, it is worth reading the manga and light novels. The manga and light novels provide more details than the anime can show, such as the deaths of the female adventurers. The manga even has added humor lacking from the anime.

Goblin Slayer: Goblin’s Crown film adapts the Goblin Paladin story from fan-favorite Volume 5
Note that Goblin’s Crown has been treated more like a Goblin Slayer movie, even though it’s a feature-length OVA segment that’s being shown in Japanese movie theatres.
The Goblin Slayer: Goblin’s Crown poster was a great way for fans to see the books. They can easily guess that the snowy scene was from Volume 5. Goblin’s Crown happens to be the title of Chapter 6 in Volume 5.
Although it might seem strange for an extended Goblin Slayer OVA to skip Volume 2 and jump straight to Volume 5, it is actually quite natural since Volume 5’s story is almost entirely self-contained. All begins when Goblin Slayer accepts the quest to save a young noble swordswoman. The party adventures to the north to discover that an old dwarven fortress is now a home for goblins.

In addition, She is on the verge of following the same path as Goblin Slayer, whose coping strategies have separated him from his humanity.
The character development of the story is driven by Noble Fencer’s interactions with Priestess. Priestess may not have been physically injured in her first disaster, but some wounds can leave lasting scars. She still feels the emotional scarring and Noble Fencer is able to help her deal with those feelings. Priestess, in return, is able bring Noble Fencer back to safety before she plunges into darkness.
The Goblin Slayer: Goblin’s Crown anime is an emotional adventure but it will also be an action-packed extravaganza. The Goblin Slayer’s hero meets his counterpart, the Goblin Paladin, a new goblin fighter. As they try to escape the cold mountains, this ferocious creature will hunt them down.
Goblin Slayer had destroyed many nests, but this group of goblins has organized itself in a way that is far more impressive than any other. The Goblin Paladin has been anointed as their powerful leader by the evil cult of the Green Crescent Moon.
The Goblin Paladin is now able to fight humans better than any of his kin. Goblin Slayer will face off against Goblin Paladin in numerous encounters in Goblin Slayer, Goblin’s Crown.
The Goblin Slayer: Goblin’s Crown was released in Japanese theaters on February 1, 2020. The Blu-Ray/DVD version of the movie was released in Japan on July 29, 2020.
Crunchyroll started streaming the full-length OVA episode for international release on July 8, 2020. The anime can be streamed in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.
Funimation released Goblin’s Crown with an English dub in the United States. This episode will feature both a returning cast of staff and White Fox staff. Sumire Uesaka will voice the character Noble Fencer.

Goblin Slayer 2 spoilers (plot summary/synopsis)

The second season will open on an optimistic note, since everyone wants to celebrate. The Harvest Festival is upon us, and the Goblins are not to be found. Priestess is busy at the temple and Lizard Priest helps with festival preparations. High Elf Archer (Dwarf Shaman), Lizard Priest and Dwarf Shaman are also available.
These events are a chance for Guild Girl to meet Goblin Slayer. But where does that leave Cow Girl, her childhood friend? It’s not Cow Girl asking Goblin Slayer for a date at the festival; the biggest surprise is the fact that Goblinslayer actually agrees to go!
Goblin Slayer is, as one might expect, occupied with other things. The dwindling requests to exterminate goblins may have some people happy, but Goblin Slayer suspects a lurking threat.
Volume 3 opens with Priestess and Goblin Slayer going on a mission in rescue of kidnapped maidens who are being held captive by goblins living underground. They find out that the villains use equipment, not just basic tools. Surprisingly, the women who were rescued are not affected by this discovery. What does all this mean?
Dark Elf, a villain who was known for his evil deeds, was responsible for the invasion of goblins in Water Town. Also, Dark Elf, an apostle of the gods and chaos, had plotted to take down Sword Maiden using her fear of goingblins against her. In addition, Dark Elf was arming goblins, setting the scene for the Water Town coup before Goblin Slayer intervened.
Dark Elf launches a goblin attack, turning the festival into a battle. He intends to summon Hecatoncheir by using a cursed item, but Goblinslayer’s party stops him.
Many of the characters take a vacation after the Hero defeats the Demon Lord. These events will please anime fans who enjoy fan service. Guild Girl, High Elf Archer and Cow Girl all go shopping for very modest clothing. High Elf Archer also recalls old adventures from a lazy day.
Goblin Slayer doesn’t like to go on vacation, but he does enjoy taking a break from going after goblins. Instead, he teams up with the Guts-like Heavy Warrior or Spearman to fight demons at the Temple of Doom. Will Volume 4 be the end of Goblin Slayer Season 2 as well?
The battles against demons and necromancers are fascinating, but the action heats up with Volume 5, the next major story arc. This fan-favorite book will be adapted into Goblin Slayer: Goblin’s Crown, so Goblin Slayer Season 2 won’t have to skip the story. The epic battles in Volume 5 against the Goblin Paladin make it a better film than Season 1, similar to how it was the farm invasion that provided the best stop point for Season 1.
The second season of Goblin Slayer will likely be a two-cour series with 24 episodes. It is possible that the story could be adapted from Volume 6 and 7, rather than waiting for Goblin Slayer Season 3. It could be argued, for the purposes of developing the story, that Volume 6 is more informative because of the emotional development of the characters, while Volume 7 presents a great danger to the party.
Volume 6 features Guild Girl getting annoyed by Wizard Boy, a brazen adventurer who wants to hunt goblins and ran away from school. Wizard boy, like the main protagonist, wants to be a goblin murderer to avenge his older sister’s death.
Goblin Slayer is not particularly upset by the young upstart going on goblin quests. But what really sets Goblin Slayer apart is Wizard Boy’s motives. Goblin Slayer is shocked to hear the description of the past and recognizes him in the younger boy. This triggers a panic attack which causes Goblin Slayer literally to flee in panic.
Goblin Slayer’s emotional trauma only gets worse when they discover that a new adventure training facility is being built right on the spot where Cow Girl and Goblin Slayer used to live. The situation is made more difficult by the fact that Wizard Boy is quite mean to Priestess.
Although these events can bring back past emotions, there is still plenty of action. Goblin Slayer’s group finds themselves joining forces with Wizard Boy to find a goblin-infested graveyard. Things don’t turn out as planned.
Volume 7 features Goblin Slayer’s party, Cow Girl and Cow Boy traveling to High Elf Archer to see her sister after she is invited to her wedding. The shadow of the goblins has already been looming over the Elven homeland, even though the party is planning to take a vacation. Even worse, the forest is home to an ancient slumbering creature that could pose a greater threat.
