The Made in Abyss season 2 release date has been announced and it will be released on October 25th. The new season will follow the story of a group of people who are stranded on an island and must fight for their lives. The show is produced by Production I.G and is set to air on Netflix.

The second season of “Made in Abyss” is titled “The Sun Blazes Upon the Golden City” and will air on jap. : “Made in Abyss 2: Retsujitsu No Ougonkyo” The second season, which is directed by Masayuki Kojima (“Monster”) at the studio Kinema Citrus (“Rising of the Shield Hero”), will be titled as such. Hideyuki Krata will again be writing the series’ script and will handle the series composition. Kevin Penkin will compose the music.

The second season will air in 2022. An exact start date has not been announced. The first 13-episode season was broadcast on Japanese television in July 2017 and September 2017. A sequel film was aired in January 2020.

Anime released the original season, as well as two compilation films and the sequel film. Both were available on Blu-ray and DVD. The anime’s template is the original manga series by Akihito Takushi.

Made in Abyss Season 2 Cast, Characters, & Staff

I. 

Riko is a 12-year old orphan from Orth, the town near the Abyss. She is the White Whistle Lyza Annihilator’s only child. Her mother, Torka, died in her second year. She was then left to the care of Belchero Orphanage.

Reg is a robot that appears to be a young boy. Because he can’t recall any details about his past life, his age, origins or even his name are unknown. Named after Riko’s dog, he is also named after him.

Ozen “The Implacable” is a legend White Whistle Delver that has made remarkable discoveries in the Abyss and recovered numerous Artifacts with incredible value. Ozen, a White Whistle herself, is well-known for her extraordinary physical strength. Ozen is a mystery, shrouded in rumors that are both absurd and hard to disprove.

Nanachi is a Narehate. This person survived the 6th Layer’s Curse of the Abyss but was left with deformed brain. Nanachi, who has a vast knowledge of Abyss, its ecology, vegetation, and even the use the medicines, is currently part of Riko’s party. She assists her in reaching the bottom. Their gender is unknown.

Prushka is the adopted daughter of the White Whistle Dever Bondrewd. She was born in Abyss, and has never been to the surface.

Bondrewd: Also known as “The Lord of Dawn”, or “The Sovereign of Dawn”, this legendary White Whistle Delver has made great discoveries about the Abyss. He is a researcher who has been fascinated by the Abyss. To get the funds he needs to continue his research, he often resorts to illegal and morally questionable methods, such as selling artifacts from the depths or developing dangerous drugs and even testing on living people.

Faputa is the last child to be born from Irumyuui. It is also known as “Princess” by the residents of Ilblu, the Narehate Village Ilblu in the inviolable 6th Layer of the Abyss.

The last unexplored area in the world is the “Abyss” cave network. There are many valuable relics to be found there that can’t be replicated by man today. The “Cave Raiders” are those who bravely explore the depths.

Riko, an orphan girl lives at the cave’s edge. Also, Riko dreams of becoming a Cave Raider like the mother she loves and unlocking the secrets of the caves. Riko discovers a robot that looks like a human boy when she begins exploring the caves.
