The release date of Future Diary Season 2 has been announced and it will be released on October 25th. The season is set to resume after the events of the first season. The show is produced by J.J. Abrams and produced by David Heyman, who also produces Game of Thrones and Sherlock. The first season was released on August 29th and it was met with mixed reviews.

Future Diary actually was a manga created and drawn by Sakae Esuno. It was serialized by Kadokawa Shoten’s Shonen Ace magazine for twelve issues from January 2006 and December 2010. Later, Studio Asread picked up the manga for an anime adaptations that was aired in Japan from October 2011 to April 2012.

The Previous Season : Recap of Future Diary Season 2

The main character of our story is Amano Yukiteru known as Yuki. He’s someone who is social and doesn’t readily get along with people. He spent the majority of his time writing diary entries on his phone. Additionally, he has imaginary buddies like Deus Ex Machina who is the God of time and space, as well as the partner Muru Muru. On one day Yuki finds himself in awe that the daily routine will forever be altered. He is now playing a survival game using his phone or a special diary, which will be his power.

Our Yuki can anticipate the future as long as 90 days. On that day, Yuki was shocked that every event that occurred throughout the day was recorded onto his smartphone. It turns out that the imaginary friends he was imagining were Gods and had planned this game that involved 12 people. They are all engaged in a death race. They have to kill each other to live while the victor will become the heir to Deus the Ex Machina and stop the apocalypse from happening.

Yukiteru finds himself in the protection of Yuno Gasai. She is a sweet but psychopathic classmate who relentlessly pursues Yuno Gasai. 

There are two other major characters in the anime: Minene Uryu is a terrorist who is determined to eradicate all religions after her parents’ deaths during a religious war and Keigo Kurusu an officer in the police force who wishes to end the game. The game was unique as every contestant has a distinct skill. Diaries have each their own pros and cons that make the show enjoyable and appealing.

Coming Future Diary Season 2

If you were to think of the next installment of Future Diary or Future Diary Season 2 It was an imaginative thought. In the first season by itself the anime was wrapped up with a satisfying end. Perhaps a lot of viewers were disappointed with the final episode that ended on the cliffhanger. Actually the studio has already made available the OVA episode in which the conclusion was beautifully explained.

The first season is already an unfinished ending, and in actual we don’t believe there’s a pressing need for additional seasons. If there’s an influx of fan demand from people who desire to watch their favourite shows that was a decade earlier, they may think about it.

Another point to take into consideration one thing to remember is that the mangaka, Sakae Esuno, has not been produced for any further seasons from Mirai Nikki or Future Diary. This means that Studio Asread has no source material for the coming Future Diary Season 2. We also mentioned it in the past, the 12 manga volumes have already wrapped up in the best ending

Future Diary Season 2 The Release Date

In reality, when we look for Future Diary Season 2 on our screen , it appears it’s only a tiny percentage. Studio Asread (ARIFURETA) is still waiting to renew for the 2nd season which means it’s difficult to determine when it will be released. If Studio Asread chooses to make an additional sequel or reboot of the series, it may take several years to launch. So the future episodes in Mirai Nikki Season 2 may not be released prior to the end of 2022 or 2023. This article will be updated as soon as the official date has been set.

The only thing we can do is to beg the mangaka to come back for the next season or go back and watch Future Diary Season 1 for the moment.
