The Rinnegan Dojutsu is a powerful jutsu that was used by the shinobi of the village of Konoha. The jutsu is made up of three parts: the Rinnegan, the Sharingan, and the Jiraiya’s Eye. The Rinnegan is a powerful spiritual energy that was used to create the jutsu. The Sharingan is a special eye that can see through walls and other obstacles. What is the Rinnegan?

The wielder must only witness someone perform a skill in order to understand it. It also gives rods of chakra control. There are six sage paths; each Path grants power.

Kaguya was blessed with chakra after she ate the Shinju Tree’s fruit. This is how the Sharingan, Rinnegan and others were born.

She is the mother to all ninja abilities. This includes the ocular skills. Because the Rinnegan is one of the three big powers, it can be passed on genetically to descendants. Once awakened, the Rinnegan will transform their eyes from being average-looking to grayish with six small black circles in the middle.

Other than genetics, a person can also attain the power of the Six Sage. They are all extremely difficult.

You can also combine the right kind of chakra through Kaguyas descendents. One character may also attempt to eat the Shinju fruit, but this is impossible as it was used in creating Ten Tails and is no longer available.

The Sage of six paths approaches a character, granting half his Yin energy and then, finally, ocular transplant. (Good luck finding a patient willing to do this). The amount of chakra needed to operate the Rinnegan, if acquired, is enormous. Not everyone can do it.

Meaning of the Rinnegan Eye pattern:

Samsara is represented by the concentric pattern of the eye, and “Rinne”, in dojutsu. It stands for continuous flow of life. This is the belief of Hindus, Jains and Buddhists, Sikhs and other religions.

Many religions and mythologies have influenced the names of Jutsus and dojutsus and other concepts in Naruto! While none of the concepts in Naruto follow the original concepts, they are all closely influenced by them. They are simply inspirations.

The eye represents control over the Samsara Cycle, which is what we are returning to the Rinnegan. It grants certain powers through the powers of the Rinnegan, which are listed in the article. These powers enable them to control all aspects of life and death and master all their abilities.

This is in line with Jiraiya’s comments on the Rinnegan. Jiraiya stated that the Rinnegan is bestowed upon a person during dark times.

This is because Hagoromo awakened the Rinnegan when he was fighting Kaguya Otsuki, his mother. Madara awakened it when he resolved that the Infinite Tsukuyomi would bring peace. It was also used by Obito and Nagato for the same purpose.

Sasuke finally awakened Madara to stop Madara’s peace plan. It was not ideal, or it took away the part that made people see they existed. Whatever the reason, the Rinnegan has proven to be a blessing to people who are able to alter the course of events in the most difficult times.

Rinnegan Designs:

Although they are all quite simple, they make an impression. These are:

Original Ringan: The original dojutsu’s design is simple! It is a purple color and has concentric circles that cover the eyeball.

Sasuke’s Rinnegan: Sasuke’s Rinnegan adds three more to the two innermost circles that make up the original Rinnegan.

Momoshiki’s Rinnegan: MOMOSHIVI’s Rinnegan looks the same as the original Rinnegan, but with one difference; Momoshiki’s Rinnegan has a red color. Wait! Wait! After eating Kinshiki, Momoshiki’s Rinnegan turns yellow in the anime.

Rinne Sharingan: The Rinne Sharingan was the predecessor to the Sharingan and the Rinnegan. The Rinne Sharingan is red in color and has nine tomoes scattered throughout its concentric pattern. The Rinne Sharingan, which is more rare than the Rinnegan, is rarer. Kaguya Oksutsuki and Madara Uchiha, who are the only known masters of this Dojutsu, are Madara Uchiha and the Ten-Tails.

Does Rinnegan have tomoe?

Yes, some Rinnegans do have tomoes, such as Sasuke or Kara’s Ten-Tails. . They are not to be confused however with Rinne Sharingan.

Databook 4 states that Rinne Sharingan was the predecessor to the Rinnegan, and the Sharingan. Databook 4 also states that Sasuke is the Rinnegan’s holder.

Can rinnegan evolve?

Although the Rinne Sharingan may be considered the predecessor to the Rinnegan, it is certainly an evolution of Dojutsu!

Only one dojutsu has all the power of a Rinnegan, and that is the Rinne-Sharingan. The user can cast the Infinite Tsukuyomi. It has been awakened by Kaguya Oltsuki and Madara, but not the Ten-Tails or Madara.

Yes, definitely. Yes, definitely.

All this begins with Hagoromo Otsuki who taught Ninshu his sons. Indra, the elder child, was a prodigy. While Asura, the younger child, persevered and learned through hardwork, Indra was the older one.

Hagoromo, near his death, named Asura, the younger brother, as the leader. The brothers fought back. Hagoromo invented the Uchiha Stone Tablet to prevent such a thing from happening again. As you might have guessed the Uchiha’s and Senju are direct descendents of Indra.

Hagoromo’s Uchiha Stone Tablet was only partially understood by a Sharingan. A Rinnegan-wielder could however read the entire text and comprehend its true history. This was the final key that would end the conflict between Asura and Indra reincarnations.

The fate of the chosen is to awaken the Rinnegan, and being an Uchiha the first criterion. This was what Black Zetsu took advantage of. He altered the Uchiha Stone Tablet, and Madara was manipulated to awaken the Rinnegan.

He made it appear that the Rinnegan was the solution to his problems. He then got Madara to fight Hashirama (Asura’s reincarnation at that time) and finally brought back Kaguya.

How do you get the Rinnegan?

It is easy to awaken the Rinnegan. You only need to create the Sage of Six Paths Chakra.

There are two main methods to awaken the Rinnegan. You can gain the Chakra of Sage of Six Paths directly. You could also combine the Senju Clan’s chakra with Uchiha Clan. Rinnegan, the evolved form Sharingan, requires you to be Uchiha. Or you can just steal it.

Madara, the first Indra reincarnation that awakened the Rinnegan, did this by using Hashirama’s cells.

It’s not as easy as it seems. Madara was only in his 30s when he did this. He only awakened Rinnegan as he was close to his natural death.

Sasuke awakened Rinnegan by the other route. During the 4th Great Ninja War, he received Hagoromoo’s chakra. These are the best methods to get the Rinnegan. However, you can also borrow it like Nagato or Obito.

Can anyone awaken the Rinnegan, then?

They cannot. Rinnegan is a dojutsu belonging the Sage of Six Paths. Only a few selected ones can even dream about awakening it. It has been awakened by Madara and Sasuke Uchiha, but only two people have done so far.

The fate of select Uchihas is to awaken the Rinnegan, as we have already stated. It’s almost impossible for a normal person to use the same method to awaken the Rinnegan as Madara.

To awaken the Rinnegan, Madara used Indra’s and Asurasura’s chakras. It is natural to wonder, “What if an unrelated individual combined Indra’s and Asura’s chakra?”

The answer may not be what we expect.

Nothing will happen, according to us. Why? Let’s look at an example to understand why.

This will make it easier to understand. We’ll be going with Danzo, who is both a Senju and an Uchiha. He was a recipient of both the Sharingan’s and Hashirama cells.

He never awoke the Rinnegan. Problem number one is that Danzo does not have Madara’s Sharingan (i.e. Indra’s Chakra). Let’s suppose that Danzo also has Madara’s Sharingan.

So, Danzo is able to have three types of chakra. A: His own chakra, B. Hashirama’s chakra (through Hashirama’s cells), and C. Madara’s Chakra (through Madara’s Sharingan). He now qualifies for the Rinnegan’s basic criteria.

However, Danzo CANNOT wake the Rinnegan. There’s a 99.99% probability that he won’t. Why?

It all comes down to compatibility. It is possible for Danzo to react negatively to two different forms of chakra within it, in addition its own.

Danzo said that controlling Hashirama’s Chakra was very difficult and that it would try to eat him all the time. Madara’s chakra might make it even harder to control the two chakras.

This body is also not pure. It contains Senju, Uchiha and other chakras.

To awaken dojutsu, it is vital to have Indra’s and Asuras’s chakras. However, it is possible that Danzo’s chakra may interfere with the creation of the Sage of Six Paths’ Chakra.

Danzo has no control over the new chakras in his body. Therefore, it is unlikely that Danzo will awaken the Rinnegan.

Further support is provided by a look at Rinnegan’s history. Only four (4) people have ever used the Rinnegan.

They are Madara Uchiha and Sasuke Uchiha as well as Nagato Uzumaki, Nagato Uzumaki, Obito Uchiha. These four are all closely related to Indra or Asura.

The Uchiha Clan is home to Indra reincarnations and the Uzumaki Clan is close to the Senju Clan.

Both Senju and Uzumaki have been reincarnated by Asura. Nagato, Obito still used Madara’s Rinnegan despite their heavy lineage. It was impossible for them to awaken it.

An outsider can only hope for the Rinnegan to be awakened in a parallel universe.

Named Rinnegan Users

1) Hagoromo Otsutsuki:

Hagoromo, also known as the Sage Of Six Paths is the first person who activated the Rinnegan.

He is the strongest of the Narutoverse beings. Hagoromo sealed Kaguya Oksutsuki with his brother Hamura, and created Ninshu.

He can use all six paths, Creation of all, and can also travel through all ages as a spirit.

These abilities are only a small part of the vast array of power he has.

2) Momoshiki Otsutsuki:

The Otsuki family sent Momoshiki. His goal was to find out about Kaguya’s whereabouts and extract the chakra fruit form Earth.

It’s not surprising that Momoshiki Otsutsuki is higher than the Progenitor for Chakra! This is debatable, however, as Kaguya retrained the Divine Fruit multiple times and her maximum chakra was within Naruto during the 4th Ninja War.

3) Ten-Tails:

The combination of Kaguya Otsuki’s and The God Tree’s Ten-Tails makes The Ten-Tails. It is capable of causing massive destruction and was created by Kaguya in order to get her chakra back from her children. All Nine Tailed Beasts can be subdued by the Tailed Beast

4) Black Zetsu:

Black Zetsu was born to fulfill Kaguya’s will by using Yin Yang Release. Although it is not super strong, it’s a clever being that controlled Madara to become the Master of Puppets.

5) Madara Uchiha:

Madara, an incarnation Indra Otsutsuki was able to go toe-to–toe with Hashirama Senju but that wasn’t enough. Madara began to implement his plan to launch Infinite Tsukuyomi after he had awakened the Rinnegan in a near-death condition.

He still had the Rinnegan, thanks to Kabuto, but not at his full strength. He broke free from the Edo Tensei Jutsu and unleashed terror on the world. He even awakened Rinne-Sharingan.

6) Nagato Uzumaki:

Nagato was the one to receive Madara’s Rinnegan. Madara planted Nagato the Rinnegan at an early age, as he was a member of the Uzumaki Clan and Nagato didn’t know.

Because Uzumaki and Nagato are blood relatives of the Senju Clan, he chose Nagato!

7) Obito Uchiha:

Obito was scouted and sent to hell by Madara. He lived out his final days as Madara Uchiha, who was planning on launching the Infinite Tsukuyomi. After Pain’s death, he took Nagato’s Rinnegan and declared the Fourth Shinobi War.

He absorbed the seven Tailed Beasts, and then used some of the extracted chakras to become the Ten-Tails Jinchuriki.

8) Sasuke Uchiha:

Madara Uchiha was the only survivor of Uchiha Clan. He lost against him with a sword in his chest. Hagoromo Otsuki, the Sage of Six Path, managed to visit Sasuke, Naruto, and make it a crucial moment.

He gave them his powers and explained the history to the Ninjas. Naruto, the reincarnation Of Asura, gained the physical abilities of Hagoromo in the SOSP Mode. Truth Seeker Balls, etc. and Sasuke won the Rinnegan!

Sasuke could see Madara’s limbos this way. He was able fight with Kaguya (weakened) and Momoshiki Oksutsuki too!

Rinnegan Abilities/Powers:

Below are the basic abilities that all Rinnegan wielders have.

1) Chakra Flow:

The Rinnegan is able to see the chakra flow of a person in detail, and can also see through invisible barriers. Madara used this ability in order to predict Might Guy’s attacks and to understand his condition. Otsukis can have different levels of this power.

Kaguya, for example, could see different kinds of chakras in different colors. The Byakugan of Momoshiki allowed him to predict the fates of people.

This ability is very useful for combat and psychological warfare.

2) Mastery over all natural and judicious changes:

The Rinnegan gives its owner the ability to master all five basic transformations of nature. They can also learn any jutsu easily!

History is littered with Shinobis who were able to master the five basic nature transformations, but only a few of them could. Hirzuen Sarutobi, the Third Hokage is a prime example!

This ability allows you to be more flexible in battle, causing your opponent to be more tense because they don’t know what might attack them next.

3) The ability to read the Sage of Six Paths Tablet

The Sage of Six Paths’ Stone Tablet, arguably the oldest relic of shinobi history, also proves the existence Hagoromo Otsuki.

It can also only be read with the Rinnegan.

Hagoromo created the tablet with Rinnegan. It is an important part in the history of the Shinobi that explains the conflict between Indra and Asura as well as their reincarnations.

The Six Paths Technique

The Six Paths Technique is available to the Rinnegan user. The technique, despite its name, gives seven different Jutsus/Paths. These are:

Deva Path The Deva Path gives the user the ability use attractive/repulsive force on objects and people. This is Pain’s most famous ability, which wiped out the Konoha village within seconds.

The ability can’t be used in succession. The technique used determines the cooldown. It can last several minutes and has a minimum cooldown of 5 seconds.

It allows you to use Chibaku Tensei which is Pain against Naruto.

Asura Path The Asura Path allows you to turn parts of your body into weapons for attack.

It can attack using missiles, chainsaws, cannons, extra limbs, etc.

Example: Nagato channeled the Asura Path through a Ninja puppeteer, who also dealt the final blow to Jiraiya.

Human Path The Human Path allows you to see the mind of your target. By placing their hand on the target’s chest or head, the user can also extract the victim’s soul.

Even if the target is not intended to be rescued, their death is certain. It is an incredible ability that can be used in battle, but it doesn’t provide much utility.

Example: Pain used it during the Pain Assault Arc to kill Shizune and many other shinobis.

Animal Path The Animal Path allows you to summon different animals to assist in battle.

The Path lets you summon creatures without the need for blood sacrifice or hand seals. You can also summon people using the hand seals.

The Human Path is different from regular Summoning Jutsu because the summoned creatures are immortal.

These summons played an important role in Pain’s strategy, as they were strong enough for most of their enemies. They played an important role in bringing down the enemy, even if they were not strong enough.

Creatures summoned by the Animal Path are:

1.Giant Drill-Beaked Bird:

It is a huge bird that can fly at high speeds and attack.

2.Giant multi-headed Dog:

This summons is a super-strong, multi-headed dog with wings that can split into individual dogs if hit.

3.Giant Snake-Tailed Chameleon:

This summon is a chameleon-like summon that blends in with the environment. It allows its summoner to attack from any direction. It can protect its user by keeping them in their mouth.

The snake tail can be used as an additional limb, and may capture the intended targets.

4.Giant Panda:

As the name implies, the Giant Panda is a Giant Panda. Its primary purpose is to defend the user against an attack. Pain used the Giant Panda as a shield against Sage Mode Jiraiya’s Sage Art: Hair Needle Senbon Jutsu.

5.Giant Ox:

Because of its size, the Giant Ox can cause a lot of damage. It isn’t smart, however.

6.Giant Rhino:

The Giant Rhino, like the Giant Ox has destructive power due to its size.

7.Giant Crustacean:

Due to its Armor, the Giant Crustacean can be a tough attacker. It can also use Jutsus such as the Water Release: Wild Bubble Wave Jutsu.

8.Giant Centipede:

It is a sturdy and strong body that can cause damage to buildings. It has never played an important role in human history so we don’t know much.

Preta:

The Preta Path allows you to absorb Chakra in all forms. It can be used to absorb Chakra from any part or body of the body. This makes it an excellent defense technique.

It can absorb any form of chakra, including Senjutsu. The user could also become stone if they absorb too much Senjutsu Chakra.

Naraka Path

Naraka Path allows you to summon the King Of Hell. The King of Hell deity is one who has the power to rule over death and life. The King of Hell grants two powers to its users: the power to interrogate and the power to restore.

Interrogation:

The King of Hell appears behind the user, with dark flames surrounding the target. The deity releases arms from its mouth, and the target is held in its life force. It then passes its judgment. If the target lies, or refuses to answer questions, their life force will be taken from them. If they answer truthfully, however, they are saved but left exhausted.

Restoration:

The Naraka Path can be used to repair any type of damage. The user summons the King Of Hell and allows it to eat the target with its arms. The target is then released from the mouth of the deity in perfect condition.

This is why Naraka Path is the most valuable asset of the Rinnegan, especially when working in groups (Like Six Paths of Pain), as members can be rejuvenated repeatedly!

Outer path:

The Outer Path’s greatest gift to the user is its ability to give them control over their own life and death. Yes, the Rinne Jutsu.

This Jutsu can be used to revive an individual, as you may already know. The Jutsu’s after-effects make it inevitable that the user will die.

The Outer Path also allows you to create Black Chakra Receivers. These have been extensively used since the Pain Assault Arc.

You can also use the Chakra Chains from the Gedo Statue with it. These chains can be used to subdue nine Tailed-Beasts!

5) Summoning Gedo Statue

The Rinnegan lets you break the seal of the Gedo Statue to summon it.

After the chakra had been extracted, the Gedo Statue was left behind. It is made up of the remaining husks of Ten-Tails and then split into nine Tailed-Beasts. Hagoromo sealed the Gedo Statue inside the moon.

The Rinnegan, however, allows you to summon it back to Earth, as mentioned above!

The Gedo statue can absorb any person’s chakra in a matter of seconds and can hold all nine Tailed-Beasts.

It also has Chains with cursed seals that can subdue Tailed-Beasts, just like Obito or Madara.

6) Individual Abilities

All users of the Rinnegan are also given exclusive abilities by The Rinnegan. These abilities can be described as follows:

Limbo:

Madara could make “Limbos”, which is a.e. Shadows of Madara could create “Limbos”, i.e., an invisible world in which he can coexist with the “original/real world.”

Without the Rinnegan chakra or Sage of Six Paths chakra, it is impossible to see/sense this world. These Limbos can be destroyed only with “Six Paths Senjutsu”, which is a powerful attack that is comparable to Madara.

They are as strong as Madara and can only be stopped by someone as skilled as Naruto or Sasuke.

Amenotejikara & Portals:

Sasuke’s Rinnegan gives him the ability to “Amenotejikara”. This ability allows him switch between people and objects within a certain range (in metres).

As a surprise tool, Amenotejikara makes up a large part of Sasuke’s arsenal. It allows him escape from a trap and to throw his enemies into it!

Sasuke can also use the Rinnegan to open space-time portals that allow him to travel through dimensions. This is crucial against Otsukis, who could trap their opponents within different dimensions.

Chakra Absorption

All Rinnegan users are capable of absorbing chakra, but Momoshiki Otsutsuki can only absorb it using his Rinnegan on the right. The Rinnegan is then used to amplify and release the chakra.

The dojutsu allows him to transform any living thing into edibles.

These can be considered small fractions in a sense of the Chakra Fruit. Momoshiki was able to use this ability on Kinshiki.

Is Naruto able to get the Rinnegan?

This question may be a bit offensive to some Naruto fans. This question was new to me when I saw it for the first time. They’ve never seen Naruto?

Well, I suppose I was correct, sort of. Boruto has attracted many new fans, and also sent away a lot more Stans.

Some fans are confused by fan art involving Naruto owning the Rinnegan! New fans believed that Naruto could use the Rinnegan

Some Boruto Manga watchers, however, thought Naruto had awakened Rinnegan! Wow!

Let me be clear: Naruto cannot awaken the Rinnegan. He can take it but I strongly doubt it will happen.

Wait, according to the section “How to Get the Rinnegan?” above, Naruto should have the ability to awaken the Rinnegan. Unfortunately, he isn’t.

Why can’t Naruto awaken the Rinnegan

Naruto, a reincarnation Of Asura and an Uzumaki, seems to be unable to awaken the Rinnegan.

If he takes some Sasuke’s Chakra, he’ll be able to clear the basic criteria for awakening the Rinnegan quickly. It might actually work better than Hashirama’s cells for Madara, since Sasuke already has Rinnegan.

There are however some serious problems. The first is that bringing Indra’s and Asura’s chakras inside your body will not create the Rinnegan.

It is a long process. It is possible for the process to take longer than Naruto’s normal life.

There is a chance Naruto might awaken the Rinnegan. Naruto’s compatibility with Hashirama cells has been close to 100% (i.e. His new right arm is now an Asura reincarnate.

His body should be able to react well to Indra’s chakra. There is a possibility that Naruto could awaken the Rinnegan in his 90s. The Rinnegan won’t be much use after that.

There’s another thing you should keep in mind. Although this is entirely hypothetical, it could be considered a variable in this case. Naruto has been consistently below-average in any aspect of Genjutsu and Dojutsu.

Naturally, he isn’t compatible with abilities such as Genjutsu or more that are often attributed to dojutsu.

The possibility that the fusion might take longer due to Naruto’s incompatibility naturally with such things is possible.

This is just a observation. We don’t intend to claim that Naruto can not awaken the Rinnegan because of this.

This topic has already been covered; consider this a side note.

There’s a chance Naruto could awaken the Rinnegan, since he is more compatible with Rinnegan users than Obito and Nagato.

But, there is no evidence to support Naruto being at least as compatible with Madara.

Therefore, Naruto awakening Rinnegan is unlikely to occur.

Is Rinnegan the strongest dojutsu?

Let’s break this down into two parts. We’ll first compare the Rinnegan to its main competitors.

Rinnegan vs Sharingan vs Byakugan

This is the simple answer to your question. The Rinnegan is better.

Because of its limited capabilities and one major ability, the Byakugan is last in this category.

Rinnegan, the evolution of the Sharingan, is what you need to know about the Sharingan. The Mangekyou Sharingan and the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan, while amazing, will elevate almost all shinobi to a higher level.

It isn’t enough, however, to defeat Naruto, Hashirama and Madara.

These abilities are far more than the Sharingan’s like Susanoo and Genjutsu.

Although Amaterasu and Kamui are incredible abilities, Susanoo can be retained and the Rinnegan maintained.

However, the Susanoo would make it worthwhile to compare Sharingan with a normal Rinnegan.

The Susanoo has incredible offensive and defensive capabilities, sufficient to defeat most countries

Rinnegan’s techniques still remain supreme. A Rinnegan user can also use the Mangekyo sharingan’s abilities; it’s an easy win for dojutsu.

What about the Rinne Sharingan, though?

The Rinne Sharingan reigns supreme. There aren’t many differences between them, to be fair.

The Rinne Sharingan can cast the Infinite Tsukuyomi, but the Rinnegan is able to repel the ultimate Genjutsu.

But, it is possible to say that the Rinne sharingan is stronger because it can take everyone else into its genjutsu for ever.

The Tenseigan, a Dojutsu, also reigns supreme above the Rinnegan. It would be impossible to include it in this heading. We’ve got your back!

TL;DR:

The Rinnegan is one of the three “Three Great Dojutsu”. The Rinnegan is the strongest of the “Three Great Dojutsu”.
