Everything You Need To Know About The Servamp Season 2 Release Date

Servamp is set to release its second season on October 12th, 2019. The show is a dark and twisted comedy that follows the lives of a group of people who are forced to live in a servitude-like environment. The first season was released on September 25th, 2019 and received mixed reviews from viewers.

Servamp : A Quick Review

Mahiru Shirota saw a change in his life when he adopted a black cat from the street and took care of it. The black cat is one of seven vampires who represent the Seven Deadly Sins. 

He accidentally creates a temporary contract between Sleepy Ash, the vampire of Sloth by giving Kuro his name and calling him by his name. The contract can only be completed if Sleepy Ash drinks Mahiru’s blood. This will make him his servant vampire “Servamp” while Mahiru is master “Eve”.

Mahiru now faces life-threatening dangers due to the contract after meeting Tsubaki who declared himself to be the eighth brother of the Seven Deadly Sins. Tsubaki declared himself the Servamp Of Melancholy and waged an all-out battle with the sisters and brothers. To stop Tsubaki, Mahiru (or Sleepy Ash) must locate the remaining seven sins siblings.

Is there a second season of Servamp?

Strike Tanaka’s manga series Servamp was serialized in Media Factory Shojo manga, Monthly Comic Gene, since June 15, 2011. The anime’s first season aired in six episodes and lasted five years. 

Studio Brain Base and Platinum Vision produced the anime and Funimation licensed it. Funimation, Studio Brain Base, or Platinum Vision have not yet provided any information about the renewal of Servamp’s second season.

The manga that inspired the anime was used to create the animations for the first seven volumes. In February 2017, the author had to take a break due to her health. She needed to rest and heal from intense pain. 

After she had recovered from her pain, the manga was resumed on April 15, 2017. The studio currently has 15 volumes of manga, with the most recent being released June 29, 2021. This means that there is plenty of material to create season 2.

Season 2 Release Date for Servamp

As mentioned above, no news has been announced by the studios or licensors regarding the continuation of Servamp. Fans shouldn’t be discouraged, however, due to the continued story and popularity of the manga. Many anime go on a long hiatus for years without any new season, only to have it announced later. That can happen with Servamp as well.

Season 1 of Servamp serves more to introduce each Seven Deadly Sins character and provide background information. It only had twelve episodes but it was able to capture the attention of fans with its chemistry between the characters. 

The visual and action scenes are entertaining with some funny scenes that break up the intense story. The opening song of the anime is sung in OLDCODEX’s “Deal with”, while the ending song, “sunlight avenue”, is sung and performed by Takuma Terashima (voice of Mahiru Shirota).

Casts and Characters for Servamp

Mahiru Shirota is the protagonist of the series, Kuro or Sleepy Ash’s Eve. Student in his freshman year at high school who enjoys simple things. He becomes an Eve and is given a Lead, which is a conjured tool in the form of a broomstick. Later it turns into a spear.

Kuro, or Sleepy Ash, is the Servamp of Sloth. He takes on the appearance of a black cat and Mahiru’s servant vampire. He is the oldest and most powerful of the eight Servamp siblings. He is lazy at best, with a past he longed to escape from.

Hyde or Lawless: He is the Servamp of Greed, and the fifth-youngest of the Servamp brothers. He is contracted to Licht Jekylland Todoroki. He is known for being unstable and has been known to kill his Eves before he was able to stay with Licht. His naivety has led to him calling himself Angel.

Licht Jekylland and Todoroki: An Austrian musician who is also Hyde’s Eve. Even though his nickname is Angel, Licht can be quite violent, especially to Hyde. Two Leads are his boots, which can slow down regeneration. He also has a piano that has various effects for those who hear it.

Tsubaki, the vampire of Melancholy. His main weapon is the katana.

Sakuya Watanuki is Mahiru’s classmate, and Tsubaki’s Subclass.

Misono Arisuin is an Eve and Mahiru’s classmate. He comes from a wealthy family, but has a very weak body.

Tsurugi Kamiya, C3’s strongest member, was feared by vampires for his brutal killings.
