He is a simple rural boy who dreams big of moving to the city. He was attacked and injured by a bounty hunter one day. His normal life is suddenly changed when Yukihime, his mentor, becomes Evangeline A.K., a 700-year old vampire mage. McDowell reveals that she is a vampire.
She saves Touta from a fatal wound and makes him immortal. Also, They meet Kuromaru, a boy they find along the way and he joins the adventure. They travel to Shin-Tokyo, where Yukihime leads an underground society of immortals known as UQ Holder. Touta is able to gain new mentorship and embark on his own magical adventure.

Season 2 for UQ Holders : Renewal Status
Due to its rushed pace, the first anime season received mixed reviews. Manga readers knew exactly how many chapters were skipped when the series was first adapted.
The anime also has original stories. Fans who were waiting for the correct adaptation of the anime weren’t happy after seeing it. The negative reaction might have been the reason why the series has yet to be renewed.
In 2013, the serialization of UQ Holder began by its author. He has published 24 volumes, with more than 180 chapters, since 2013. The anime series’ first season was adapted from 131 chapters.
