World End Season 2: Renewal Status
There are five volumes of the Suka Suka light novels series. The side story was published in April 2016. The author later released SukoMoka, the sequel to this light novel series. It has been published in eleven volumes. Only the first three volumes were adapted by the anime’s first season.
The remaining thirteen volumes of SukaSuka can be used by the production company to create World End Season 2. This is enough to make a 12-episode season. With the remaining source material, the makers could easily create four additional installments of anime.
The series was well-received by viewers and ratings, which allowed the creators to renew it for another installment. The time gap has caused a decline in popularity over the years.
