It’s true, Houseki no Kuni is the Japanese title for the series. The anime adaptation was based on the manga with the same title composed by Haruko Ichikawa. The first issue of the serialization appeared on Monthly Afternoon on October 25 in 2012. In the years since, Haruko has published eleven volumes.

It’s a stunning anime that is loved by all fans It could be among the top CG anime, and also the beginning of a new style of art. However, is it enough to warrant bringing Houseki the no Kuni season 2? This is all known about this show.
Are there plans to release Houseki no Kuni Season 2?
The chance of a second season is not completely negative. There is however positive and negative news for those of you.
Let’s start with the negative news. The original material has been in hiatus since December of 2020. However, don’t fret about the absence of content for Houseki no Kuni Season 2.
The manga has more than 85 chapters as of today. From what we have heard the studio Orange only had around 31 chapters in this first episode. Even though the show is currently on suspension, there’s plenty of material available for the second season.
We have more good news to share with you. The first season were quite impressive and averaged 6000 units for each blue-ray. This is an impressive number for anime adaptations. The adaptation also helped boost manga sales. Therefore, Houseki no Kuni Season 2 could be a good investment for both the studio Orange and the creator.
It’s already been four years since that last show was broadcast. This could be a positive or bad thing, depending on your beliefs. However, let’s not lose hope for the time being.
Houseki no Kuni Season 2 Release Date
As you would expect it is not an formal announcement on the release date for Houseki no Kuni Season 2. There is also no information on whether the show will be either cancelled or is not. Therefore, we are able to relax for the moment.
There are many reasons that the light novel or manga receives an anime adaptation. It could be due to a popularity motive or to increase the popularity of the original material. In the event that Houseki no Kuni’s motivation is the second, then it’s already a success. Due to that, studio Orange may not have a compelling reasons to create the sequel, unless they’ve had changed their minds.
