Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi anime series is a Japanese supernatural romance rom-com. This anime actually came from Midori Yuuma’s 2015 light novel series. With 11 volumes already published, the light novel is still being written. In 2016, the story was turned into a manga series by Waco Ioka. Two years later, Gonzo Studio also decided to make it an anime series. It was directed by Yoshiko Ohta and written in Japanese by Tomoko Konparu. Fans are anxiously awaiting the Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi season 2.

Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi Season 1 Plotline

The story centers on Aoi Tsubaki, a college-going teenager who is able to see spirits. Her grandfather gave her the ability to see the Ayakashi, which is a supernatural creature. When Aoi’s mom abandoned her, she began to discover her ability to see and to live in peace with spirit.

Aoi’s grandfather also passed away. Aoi was left to care for herself. Aoi found a torii shrine one day and noticed that there was a spirit on top. It was later discovered that the spirit was hungry. Aoi decided that the spirit should be fed. An Ogre followed the spirit, however. Aoi was kidnapped by him and he ended up in Hidden Realm. This is where all spirits live. Odanna was the name of this ogre.

According to the ogre, Shiro, Aoi’s grandfather, owed Odanna a huge debt before his death and it was now up to Aoi to pay it. Aoi, scared and confused, was stunned by the shocking revelations from her family. Aoi asked him to marry Aoi in order to repay the debt. But Aoi was able to make a deal and Aoi began working at his inn, Tenjin’ to pay her grandfather’s debt.

Aoi is a talented cook and can transform raw materials into an amazing chef. She was soon admired by other Ayakashis. Aoi was soon in trouble. Odanna was there to save her from any trouble. They began to fall in love and started to have romantic feelings.

Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi Season 2 Renewal Status

Studio Gonzo’s first Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi season received an overwhelming response from viewers. Despite all the positive ratings, excellent reviews and many requests from fans, the producer has yet to give us an update on Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi season 2. Fans are eager to see the sequel because of the many aspects of Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi.

People worry about the source material because of the high demand. This anime was an adaptation of the light novel storyline. The light novel has only 11 volumes, and Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi’s first season had 5 volumes. Studio Gonzo now has six volumes left to complete the next season.
