Fans of the Maken-Ki anime series have been eagerly awaiting the release of Season 3, but they may have to wait a little longer. The official website for the show has announced that the third season will not be released until 2019. This news comes as a bit of a surprise to fans, as Season 2 was released in 2018. However, it is possible that the production team is taking their time to perfect the series. In any case, Season 3 is still scheduled to air in 2019. Maken-Ki Season 3 will continue the story of Kazuki Muto and his friends as they face new challenges and enemies. It is unclear what new mysteries will be revealed in this season, but fans are sure to be excited by whatever happens. ..

Maken-Ki, an anime adaptation of the manga with the same name, is called Maken-Ki. The series is written by Hiromitsu Takeda. It was first published by Dragon Age Pure at the start of serialization. Then, it was moved to Monthly Dragon Age magazine after the former stopped publishing. Hiromitsu Tekeda published the first chapter in 2007.

Studio AIC acquired the series through its sub-division AIC Spirits to make it anime in 2011. The first season was listed with 12 episodes and aired from October 5 through December 21 2011. The second season, which featured 12 episodes, saw the studio’s animation change. Xebec assumed the project and produced the sequel in 2014. It aired between January 16 and March 20, 2014. It had ten episodes, whereas the original season featured ten. Two OVA were also produced by studio AIC, and Xebec.

Fans were divided on the second season because Xebec made changes to the sequel. While some fans were open to it, others criticised the studio for not being faithful to the source material. This review split made Maken-Ki Season 3 more appealing to fans.

Will it be making a comeback? This is all we know about the series.

Is there a Maken-Ki Season 3 ?

You have bad news: Maken-Ki Season 3 won’t happen. There are many reasons.

The source material is the first. Hiromitsu Takeda (author) ended the series with volume 24, which was published in 2020. Maken-Ki Season 3 is now less likely due to the end of the manga. Studio animation usually makes anime to increase sales of source material. If there are no manga or light novels to boost, the studio won’t likely make another season.

The sequel that Xebec created is the second reason. Studio AIC managed the first season. It was a success both inside and outside Japan.

The OVA they produced also benefited from this. However, the second season had a disappointing performance. This change in direction may have been the reason why the second season was not received well, as it was with its predecessor.

There are many content that can be adapted for Maken-Ki Season 3, which is a good thing. According to our information, the first season was made up of five manga volumes. The second, however, was mainly original. There are still 18 volumes left to cover, including the sixth volume that was adapted by the OVA.
