The release date for Akiba’s Trip the Animation Season 2 has not been announced yet, but it is likely that it will be released in the near future. The first season of the anime was released on October 15th, 2017 and the second season is set to release on October 29th, 2018.

The comedy anime series is an adaptation from the Acquire game. Tokyo Game Show announced the anime adaptation in September 2016. Gonzo and Hiroshi Ichehata (Sore ga Seiyuu!) produced the anime. It was directed by Hiroshi Ikehata (Sore ga Seiyuu!). Kazuho Hidou (ReLIFE), was responsible for the series’ composition. Hajime Mitsuda created the characters.

Haruki Ishiya, Marika Touno (In Another World With My Smartphone), Rie Tahashi (Konosuba) and Yuki Nagaku (“My First Girlfriend Is a Gal”) were the cast members. The first season aired between January 4 and March 29, 2017. It was listed with 13 episodes.

While the original game is very popular, the anime adaptation has been well received by both new and old fans. It is obvious that the sequel should be made. But will we see Akiba’s Trip the Animation Season 2? This is all we know about this series.

Is there a second season of Akiba’s Trip the Animation Season 2

There is a good chance that we will get Akiba’s Trip the Animation Season 2. The anime adaptation was made to celebrate Gonzo’s 25th birthday. Although it was the only reason we had the first episode, we can’t deny that the anime helped to increase the game’s sales. It may also be a good idea to introduce the game the newcomers. Acquire has enough reasons to make the sequel.

The story is also original, even though it is an anime adaptation of the game. However, the settings are still from the videogame. There are many choices for the plot of Akiba’s Trip the Animation Season 2.

Gonzo could continue the story they started in the first season, or choose to follow the original story line. You can also adapt the game completely. Acquire has published five total games. We believe there are only three games that could qualify as anime.

The first title, Akiba’s Trip, has the greatest potential to be our Akiba’s Trip the Animation Season 2. It’s only a few years since the original was released. The remake was launched in the same year as the original. An anime adaptation could help increase sales for the remake.

Another title that could be animated are Akiba’s Trip: Undead and Undressed, released in 2013, as well as Akiba’s Beat, launched in 2016.

Unfortunately, no announcement has been made about the release date for Akiba’s Trip the Animation Season 2! Acquire and Gonzo have not yet shared information on whether or not the series will be renewed. Although it has passed the three year mark, it is still too early to predict that the sequel will not be made.

Acquire must be more than Gonzo.

The Animation Plot of Akiba’s Trip

The story is about Tamotsu Denkigai (an otaku). He and his sister Niwaka shop in Akihabara when they encounter creatures called Bugged Twos. They can bite their victims and take control of anyone, much like vampires.

Tamotsu is trapped by the creatures and Matome Mayonaka (a girl who can use a baseball) rescues him. Matome is forced to make Tamotsu a Bugged One because he was injured while they were fighting.

They formed a group called The Electric Mayonnaise after the incident to hunt down the Bugged Ones at Akihabara.
