Fans of the popular anime and manga series, Tower of God, have been eagerly awaiting the release date for the second season. However, there has been no official announcement from the production company or the anime’s licensors. Rumors are circulating online that the release date is set for early 2018. However, this has not been confirmed by either party and could easily change at any time. In any case, fans will just have to wait and see when Season 2 finally arrives! ..
Lee Jong-hui, who was the author of the story, decided to stop writing it. He had some health issues, and the story was halted. Lee Jong-hui was diagnosed with a hernia and had to stop writing. He also stated that he would continue writing the story as soon as he is healthy and thanked the Tower of God for the delay.
Tower of God Season 1
Its first season was launched in 2020, and it quickly became a hit in the anime community. The second season of Tower of God is expected to be released by April 2021, although there has not been an official announcement. Recently, the Author announced that he would be returning to the Tower of God Season 2 script and that it will soon be published.
Season 1 of Tower of God has been a success, and there is already a lot of hype about season 2. 13 episodes were included in the first season. It is a fantastic story that combines love, action, extraordinary abilities, and a lot more. The lead character, Twenty-Fifth Baam (his name is 20th), has lived a lonely life and never seen the whole world. He was isolated from the chaos of the world and only had one child, Rachel, to care for. Rachael later on in the story sets out to fulfill her dream of climbing up the tower.
Plot – Tower of God
The story of the tower of God has been told in shonen form in the manhwa. The lead gains more power and grows in the future. Baam is given new abilities in the long-running episodes. Later, he learns more about his father. He learns more about his father as he climbs the tower.
Unique concept: Anyone who climbs the tower will achieve their goals, whether it be money or power. Rachael had a dream to see the stars, but she lived in an area with less isolation. She set out to complete her dream by climbing the tower’s quest. Baam, Rachael’s affectionate friend, follows Rachael as he doesn’t want her to lose her best friend. Both have their own goals which makes them the heart of the show.
Tower of God – The concept of Tower
One tower’s self-proclaimed king plays his politics during Rachael’s adventure with Baam. Rachael must fight Baam to fulfill her dream. Each stage of the tower is a new mystery. FUG, a criminal group, also has conflict with the king.
There are 134 floors. The ranker who climbs to the top gains power and becomes a ranker. Shinsoo is a concept that mystical power, similar to the chakra in Naruto. Shinsoo can be controlled well and can lead to higher levels. Each floor of the tower has an administrator who manages Shinsoo’s flow, making it difficult for rivals to climb higher. Each floor has its own staff, making the competition even more difficult.
The tower’s king was one of the first to climb the towers. He was joined by his ten family leaders to raise the structure and establish the monarchy. The system becomes corrupted as they rise to power. Main leads Rachael, Baam and others face many ups and downs throughout this show.
Tower of God – Character
It is amazing to see the character sketches of the show. Each character has been described in great detail. Each of the main protagonists has a different mindset and goal. Both have their motivations, which makes the plot more compelling and emotional. In building the storyline, supporting characters are equally important. Yeo Goseng and Yeo Miseng, two sisters, enter the tower. Yeo Miseng is shy at first, but as the show progresses, Yeo Miseng becomes a mature, powerful player who sets her own goals.
Unique to this plot is the fact that, unlike other anime, good and evil are often shown in parallel and the story revolves around them. The story of Tower of God is different. As their interests match, the opponents may become friends and then become enemies again. It is the uniqueness of the show that makes it so interesting.
Tower of God Season 2
Although the show is similar to Hunter x Hunter, it’s not exactly. Tower of God anime is unique in that everyone has their own weapon, which can give life to anything. Baam, the main character in the show, is driven by his love for Rachael. He decides to climb the tower to accomplish a task on each stage. It is a unique show concept that no one can predict. The episodes are filled with drama and action.
The manga for the show’s anime is being published for a long period of time. It was created in 2010. The current manga is currently divided into 4 volumes. Later, the manhwa was translated into English by Crunchyroll in 2014. Crunchyroll, an online streaming giant, licensed the anime and launched it in 2020. Tower of god was rated 7.9 by IMDB out of 10.
Tower of God Season 2 Release Date
The show’s manhwa is long and there are many scenes that are not shown in the first season of Tower of God. Tower of God Season 2 is a huge success. It was trending on Twitter when it first launched. The Author later announced that he would be working on the show again. The show is expected to be released around April 2021. The anime can be viewed on Crunchyroll.
The story of Tower Of God Webtoon/manhwa begins with Dragon Ball
The anime is not based on the Tower Of God manga series or a Japanese light novels series, unlike many other anime on Crunchyroll. It’s instead based on Kami no Tou manga by creator S.I.U. (Slave in Utero).
You might be wondering what a manhwa is. Manhwa, the South Korean name for comic books, is similar to manga. Manhwa is not like manga and can be read from the left to the right.
S.I.U. spoke out in a June 2020 interview. Crunchyroll News was told by S.I.U. that he didn’t have the right to read comics when he was a child, but he continued to do so. He begged his parents to get a random volume Dragon Ball.
“When I was young, animated movies were my favorite thing to watch. I loved creating side stories and making up my own stories. He said that he would transform the relationship between two characters from one of hatred to the other into friendship or alter the ending to my ideal ending.
In that S.I.U., the Tower Of God Webtoon series also is unusual. While serving in the South Korean military, he began work on the story. Herald Corp says that by June 2010, the author had already published 10 books of content, which he used to create the plot’s framework.
As such, S.I.U. Tower Of God already has the story and characters for the story planned years in advance. Technically, the story takes place in the Talse Uzer Story universe. This is supposed to consist of multiple stories with different protagonists. However, S.I.U. There have not been any spin-offs published.
Tower Of God’s end isn’t coming soon, it should be noted. Manhwa Tower Of God Season 2 contains chapters 80 to 417.
Every Sunday, new chapters are posted online on Naver Webtoon. Mondays are the day that the official English translation will be released on Line Webtoons. It is free to access the English Tower Of God manhwa, since there is no subscription required. The Tower of God Webtoon hiatus announcement by SIU. Pic credit: SIU/Naver Webtoon
Tower of God hiatus began June 2020 due to SIU’s health issues
The manhwa’s Tower Of God Season 3 Part 3 was not completed when the original premiered in 2020. It was currently up to Chapter 485 as at June 29, 2020. The release of Chapter 486 of Tower of God was delayed until May 17th 2021, so the next chapter had to wait.
SIU made it clear that he would be taking a break from writing after the publication of Chapter 485. SIU updated us in September 2020. He said that he was “living a normal lifestyle” and is still working on manuscripts. However, his workload is much lower than when he was active working on the ToG Webtoon. Although he has worked on some drafts, he says that the “process of creating new chapters” has been delayed.
SIU wrote, “Tested again over a period of several weeks, and found additional abnormalities.” “I was diagnosed with a problem and it can cause lifelong pain and discomfort in my work and daily life.
SIU was directed by the doctor to rest. This was necessary to stop the body from deforming and to return to normal.
SIU originally wrote that the Tower of God hiatus would be for a period of time. However, he did not know how long it would take. He said, “I don’t know how long it will last but I will rest well and I will return when the time is right.” SIU’s confirmation of the Webtoon’s return was only half a year later.
For more information, please see the complete story at the Tower of God hiatus.
The manhwa had reached Chapter 512 as of November 28, 2021. Part 3 is not yet complete.
Tower of God Webtoon in comparison to the anime’s debut season
The most striking difference between the Tower Of God anime and the manhwa is the art style. S.I.U.’s art stands out in comparison with many Japanese manga artists who tend to follow industry trends.
While the anime adaptation retains some elements of S.I.U’s style with some improvements, it is a better adaptation. The anime expanded upon the details in background, which were usually limited to certain panels in the manhwa.
Some artistic changes can be controversial, such as the Black March’s changes. The Black March was originally listed in the manhwa as a needle. However, the anime made the weapon a generic katana.
The Green April was made more sword-like by its ability to morph, elongate and become a sword. This is a minor change since the Shinsu is thick and can’t be used on swords with high friction surfaces.
The Tower of God Webtoon viewers will be able to see how anime episodes are much faster than the webtoon. To reach the best point in the manhwa series, the anime adapts six chapters an episode.
Major character motivations and interactions were drastically altered to achieve this goal. The anime skipped some important scenes that were crucial to character development, particularly in the second half. Although the anime focused on the main theme of Rachel and Bam, it made the ending of the first season more memorable for anime-only viewers. However, this was at the cost of diminishing the depth of the other characters.
It’s not uncommon for anime adaptations to condense exposition in order to fit a story with a strong ending point into a single “cour”. The series consists of 13 episodes. Although the Cautious Hero anime was an exception to this rule, it was only because the ending of Light Novel Volume 2 was the most important stopping point (many anime adaptations to light novels will adapt 3-6 books per season).
The opening episode of the Tower Of God anime was adapted until Bam, Rak Wraithraiser and Khun Arguero Agnis met in Chapter 6. Because of the anime’s rapid pace, the opening character and motivations have been significantly altered. The dialogue of the manhwa provided additional humor and insight into inner turmoil. But the most significant change was the tone and context in which Bam and Yuri first met.
In the earlier chapters, Princess Yuri also had more interaction with Administrator Headon. This also helped to explain why Princess Yuri was so keen on Bam. The manhwa featured an extended scene in which Yuri and Rank A Guide Evan talked about how they were searching for the Irregular, who had forced open the door of the tower.
The tower is known for its irregulars, who are often described as beings that bring chaos and great changes to it. Headon’s conniving acts were made clearer at the end when he spoke aloud, to an unknown individual, after the Bam had passed his first test.
This short sequence was omitted in the anime, making it appear that Headon’s actions were more based on whimsy than cunning. Headon instead said, “What a fascinating gathering that was,” before proceeding to kill the White Steel Eel with a seemingly spiteful attitude, something which never happened in the manga.
Bam’s motivations for climbing the tower were also revealed by the initial encounter between Bam, the Black March and Bam. The original appearance of the spirit of weapon was more tomboyish and he asked Bam what he was interested in. Bam answered that his loneliness was a factor and not that he follows Rachel because she is a girl. This is the impression conveyed through the anime.
Warning! The following contains major spoilers regarding the end of Tower Of God Season 1
Episode 2 adapts Chapters 7 to 11, and faithfully adapts the end of the first test. However, it skips much of the banter among the Regular teams. During Lero Ro’s Shinsu wall test, both Bam (and the Ranker) guessed that Anak would pass through it first. However, Bam made the same decision after pondering and noticing the aura surrounding Anak Jahad.
(Keen viewers may have realized by now that Bam defeated the White Steel Eel in episode one in a tank containing Shinsu.
Name-dropping characters such as Phantaminum, Enryu, and Urek Mazino were also omitted from the anime. It’s not a big deal because these Irregulars aren’t usually seen until chapters/episodes after.
Episode 3 adapts Chapters 11-15. Although the manhwa chapters were roughly the same, the anime greatly condensed the story of how other teams passed the door-test. The anime made Ship Leesoo look stupid, while the manhwa demonstrated his intelligence using brilliant logic.
There were also jokes about Hansung Yi, instant coffee, and tea. The jokes about Quant, “Soda Man”, will hopefully be kept.
Chapters 16-21 were adapted for Episode 4. The anime has made the fight scene choreography much more effective. Problem is, the anime introduced a line change which teased Rachel’s motives much earlier than necessary.
Episode 5 introduced a few changes to Chapters 22-26, skipping a scene with Lady Yuri which mentioned white steel eels. The biggest change was in how Shinsu was unconsciously controlled by Bam to break Hwa Ryun’s mask and injure Hwa Ryun’s face.
Bam released only a small amount of Shinsu in the Tower of God Webtoon. It was not enough to overwhelm the arena. This change allowed anime to clearly show how Bam was a threat to the tower, as Hansung Yu and Mr. Lero Ro discussed. However, it also exposed Bam’s strength too early.
Episode 6 adapts Chapters 27-33 by condensing the exposition. It was still funny, however, when Rak’s spear misses the target and when Hatz and Khun had a longer conversation about “earrings”, it was amusing).
It is interesting to note that Bam unleashed a flashy Shinsu attack during the previous episode, but he didn’t have a contract with an administrator. This is contradictory. The administrator also noted that Bam’s contract acts as a shackle in his case. This explains why everyone continues to view him as weak.
Episode 7 was adapted from Chapters 34-37. Anaak’s mother was portrayed as being more shallow by the Tower of God Webtoon because of her incessant arguments with her husband. Endorsi was also implied to have known Anaak’s mother through the anime, which would cause continuity problems due to their apparent age differences.
Anaak and Endorsi developed a similar relationship. The only difference was the way Bam became friends with Endorsi. In the Webtoon, he was following Khun’s script that required him to be more naive. The Webtoon version had Bam hiding food from Endorsi using a platform device.
Bam’s Wave Controller lessons could also be skimmed. The Webtoon showed how Bam could create a Baang, and how he was learning to control Shinsu at a phenomenal speed. This was why Hoh was so jealous.
Webtoon Chapter 35 also showed the complete contents of the letter Khun wrote to Hoh. This letter did not merely foreshadow Hoh’s betrayal as in the anime. It also detailed the motivations of Hoh for making Bam fail the hide-and-seek test.
The anime made the hide and seek area more stylized. The layout of the game was entirely different, which affected the flow of the fight scenes. Although the rules were not clearly explained, the elements suspendium and lighthouses weren’t introduced. However, this didn’t affect the story telling.
The character interactions and dialogue in Episode 7 and Episode 8 changed greatly. Episodes 38 through 43 were adapted. Most of Chapter 42 dialogue was removed. Quant was more comfortable playing the role as the arrogant teacher than he was bulldozing his fellow regulars. Lero Ro, Yu and Quant laughed at his arrogance when he made a boastful statement.
Anaak attempted to steal Quant’s badge using Khun’s pulley system. This scene was cut from earlier episodes so she switched to the Green April. Quant gave them 111 seconds to run, rather than 32 minutes and 13 second. The suspendium-based pulley Khun used to explain was made more clear when Anaak and Khun tricked Quant into jumping off the bridge.
Episode 9 began by changing the tone of Hatz’s fight with Quant, but the manner in which Hatz betrayed Quant remained the exact same.
Endorsi’s story was altered to make it appear that she killed her adopted sisters in one night rather than beating older siblings to the front seat. The anime also implied that she had killed them, but the anime showed their bodies spread out around the dinner table.
Endorsi attempted to convince Bam that he would have to hurt others in order to climb the tower, but the anime changed the outcome. She suggested that Bam should abandon Rachel and seek his own happiness.
The anime also included the great line in which the guys declare, “She got dumped”, when Bam refuses to listen to Endorsi and walks away. Quant also said, “Even though it’s still tiny, he’s an infant tiger.” Bam said that he couldn’t run with the house cats. It’s not a problem, Endorsi said Endorsi, “What, did your collection include all the dragonballs?”
The anime lacks a quote by Bam that expresses his feelings.
These changes are so bizarre because the anime added additional comedic scenes featuring Rak eating chocolate. Rak was not even mentioned in these chapters so it was disappointing to see such great lines cut just to include Rak jokes.Speaking of Rak jokes, the crocodile had a great line from Tower Of God Episode 10 that was cut. Pic credit: S.I.U.
The anime simplified the entire situation of two hostages. Quant suggested to Bam that he use Shinsu when he froze Bam. This was in an attempt to distract. Quant didn’t expect Bam to immediately duplicate the Shinsu move, as it had taken him hundreds upon years to master. Quant was shocked when Bam showed Quant just how insane he is.
It’s not surprising that some character-developing details were skipped in the anime, since Episode 9 covered more ground than usual. Even a short scene of Yuri Jahad attempting to escape Evankhell was skipped in the episode. The episode was adapted from eight chapters and concluded with Chapter 51.
Episode 10, which covered Chapters 52 to 59, continued the fast-paced pace. The anime had a major impact on character motivations, particularly Khun. Also, how Bam was treated by everyone after he declared himself an Irregular was a significant change.
The Webtoon version of Khun’s backstory about his sister Maria, and his motivations towards Rachel and Bam can be found in the mini-Rak. Khun was raised in a family that was always fighting for power and position. However, he helped Maria become Jahad princess at his father’s side because he believed it would bring him happiness.
Since that day, something was missing in his heart. He’s been trying to fill it by helping Bam. This realization is significant because it sets the foundation for a personal goal Khun has for himself in Tower Of God Season 2.
Bam requested that Khun talk with Lero Ro to persuade him to allow Rachel/Michelle Light the next test. This is the same conversation shown in the anime when Khun learnt about the administrator test. Khun told Hoh how he had tricked him with his strategy. This was far more complicated than the anime depicts. Khun claimed that the note to Hoh was from a ranker, but it was Director Hansung Yu. Hwa Ryun was also featured in the flashback, but it was not included in the anime.
Khun’s motives were not the only ones that were misunderstood. Bam was a friend to everyone in the anime so they were willing and able to help Rachel and him climb the tower. (It is fair to say that Webtoon Chapter 59 used a montage in order to show Bam bonding to everyone and helping Rachel climb the tower. However, this was after the anime had made the decision to help Bam.
Khun tricked everyone to help Bam and Rachel in the manhwa by telling them that he could not trust an irregular and wouldn’t risk his family’s name. Everyone was reluctant to support someone who would betray their friend, so everyone decided to help Bam. Rak and Shibisu were able to see Khun’s mind, but they didn’t reveal his tricks. In the anime, it was clear that everyone knew Khun was only acting to help his friend.
Rak’s speech was also canceled by the anime because of this change. Rak said that “You stupid turtles… All you are hiding in your shells filled with fear. This is why you are nothing but a turtle. You are too afraid to raise your head. I am following him. I don’t fear the consequences. I don’t want my prey to go. All of you stay, and keep your heads inside your shells.”
Rak later tells Khun that he was the only crocodile to know what’s in the shell. “You sneaky turtle,” These are moments when Rak finally explains his turtle metaphor to Khun. Despite the fact that Rak isn’t a one-dimensional comic character, the anime removed it so that Rak could eat more chocolate.
The anime changed this scene and skipped Chapter 61. This should have been Episode 11, where Shibisu discussed Khun’s true motives. Shibisu explained that he had a slight envy of Bam, but he still wanted Bam to be helped since he still has the things everyone lost before entering into the tower. Shibisu was not interested in continuing the cycle of people taking from others because they were given something valuable first.
Episode 10 of the anime skipped a scene in which Bam explained to Endorsi why he wanted to make friends and help Rachel. Bam was born in a world without light. He stacked stones to build a tower that would allow him to reach the ceiling’s light. He was shocked to discover he was trapped when he reached the light. But then, the ceiling moved and Rachel became the “only one who came down to me” from the light.
Hansung Yu and Lero Ro were discussing how Phantaminum invaded Jahad Castle and killed the top Rankers. The Irregular Urek Mazino, an evil monster who formed the Wolhaiksong group that many fear, then appeared. These events led to regular testing of Evankhell’s floors to be altered to eliminate threats to King Jahad controlling the tower.
Hansung Yu stated, “We are testing their talent in order to determine if they are worthy.” “But the true purpose of the tower is to prevent chaos.” This [floor] acts as a seawall to stop the tsunami from shaking the tower.
Lero Ro replied, “Is it useful to the tower to sort those who might pose a danger to the rulers? A sea without waves does not exist. It’s just another pond. It’s better to fight the waves than face slow decay.
These changes have been met with disappointment by Tower Of God Webtoon fan. It is odd that major character moments are skipped in order to spend time on developing side characters such as Serena, giving her a big sendoff scene. This didn’t happen with the Webtoon. The anime had some great original scenes, such as Bam setting up Hoh’s funeral. A new Rachel and Bam scene makes Serena more sympathetic which sets up the big twist.
Episode 11 adapts Chapters 59 to 67. This episode changes the presentation style and condenses action events. The anime depiction of events was linear in time, whereas the Webtoon alternated between flashbacks and current events.
Bam and Endorsi had a promise to go on a date while they were training. This was a major change that has lasting repercussions. The anime has fundamentally altered their relationship by stripping out similar relationship-building moments between the two characters, so it’ll be odd if Tower Of God Season 2 still has Endorsi upset about missing her date with her “boyfriend”.
These chapters were full of jokes, but only a few made it into the anime. Shibisu tried to kick the Bull between his legs, but it was a joke. With a quick animation showing them slashing at each other, the dialogue between Anaak and Endorsi for their comedic argument was simplified in anime.
Another difference was Lo Po Bia Ren, the fluffy Yuga imposter, said in the Webtoon that Anaak had been killed. The anime implied that Ren was the assassin.
Ren exclaimed, “It’s amazing that I can see my mother in you.” Anaak asked Ren where he bought the jeweled necklace. He replied, “I just said it.” You are not my friend. It was me. It was me.
In the anime, Ren and Anaak’s fight was significantly cut down. Anaak was teased by Ren with some of his talents before getting serious. Anaak even used an ignition ability from the Green April.
A minor change occurred in that Hansung, the director, created the test. In the Webtoon, it was the administrator who orchestrated the events. It wasn’t revealed until the next episode that the administrator had conducted the test and was therefore a part of the plan. This revelation was not made clear until the next episode. However, anime made some changes that diminished it.
Tower Of God Episode 12 was adapted from Chapter 67, when Princess Yuri Jahad caught up to everyone. The scene in which Rak leaps onto a worm holding Pickles was taken from an earlier chapter.
Another relationship-building scene between Endorsi and Bam was skipped. The Webtoon shows that the scene happened right before Endorsi sided with Anaak. Therefore, the missing scene revealed another reason Endorsi felt compelled to fight Ren.
Lauroe’s dreamy nap scene was interrupted by test intruders. They arrived with a defected Khun family member Hatzling “Blueberry” Khun, who wore the badge of the winged Tree as part of Urek’s organization.
Blueberry, in the Webtoon took over the lighthouse (an act that ties into Tower Of God Season 2), instead of taunting Khun about Maria (which doesn’t make sense in the context). Blueberry used the pilfered controls to speak to multiple people. It’s now clear that they are all part of Yuri and not just one interloper.
Kurdan’s hammer caused Ren’s “death”. Ren was repeatedly pummeled. However, the anime did not make clear that Ren wasn’t actually dead. Kurdan flattened one Ren’s skins, and his true body was far away.
Yuri had originally planned to intervene to save Bam from Bull, but Evan stopped her. Evan reveals to Director Yu that Ren had been assassinated and Yuri intervened as part of the test. Evan urged Yuri not to worry about Bam finishing the test by himself.
Undecided, Yuri inquired Enorsi if Bam would survive. She replied, “Bam can survive because I told him I’d date his if he returns alive.”
Yuri asked her fellows to send a message to Bam. She specifically stated that Urek Mazino would be waiting on Floor 77 for him when he becomes a Ranker. Urek’s symbol is represented by the winged tree badge that she threw.
With the exception of Bull’s attack at end, the episode skipped nearly the entire Chapter 73. This skip scene tells Rache’s motivations and why she wants to see the stars. It’s likely to be included in Tower Of God Episode 13.
The anime did not show Bam fighting the Bull. It also didn’t show him slowing down or how he could only use one Baang. This meant that he couldn’t attack and defend at once. His internal monologue, where he made the decision to take charge, was not shown in the scene.
Bam wrote Chapter 74, “I can’t wait and sit and wait for somebody’s help.” “I cannot be the boy who waited in the cave …!” for Rachel.
The anime fight ended in dramatic fashion. Bam was swallowed up by the Bull in the anime. This recalls his encounter with the steel-eel in Episode 1. The Webtoon featured the Bull wrapping its jaws around Shinsu balls to protect them, and Bam sending a concentrated shot of power down its throat.
Episode 12 ended with Chapter 75. The ED theme music played in the background was a touching way to handle Rachel’s betrayal. Although the fall does not appear fatal in the anime, he is just floating in the water. The Webtoon however makes it clear that Bam is meant to die.
Tower Of God Episode 13 was only four chapters long. The rest of the story focused on Rachel’s motivations. Although the anime original content did help humanize Rachel by providing insight into her character, Rachel still seems like a confused mess and not an interesting figure. This is to be expected, as the Webtoon doesn’t reveal the missing pieces.
Although the anime was a step up from the source, it omitted an iconic scene between Rachel and Hwa Ryun in the finale. The anime also included a scene about Rachel fearing the night and Bam losing his star. This scene relied on the fact that Rachel’s name literally means “night”, but the anime didn’t explain this context.
Tower Of God Episode 13 concluded with Chapter 78, and ended the first season Webtoon series. This is the perfect stopping point for the anime. The Tower Of God Season 2 anime will continue the story with Season 2 of the manhwa.
There is plenty of material available for Tower Of God Season 2. The second part of the manhwa is so long, it will likely take several anime seasons or multiple cours to adapt.
It’s possible that Tower Of God Season 2 anime could have a two-cour anime series to adapt 110 chapters, considering that Chapter 189 is the next best stop point. The Tower Of God Season 3 anime would continue the story with the Hell Train story.
The best thing about this anime is that English-only users can skip to Chapter 79 at the Webtoons website.
Tower of God Season 2 spoilers (plot summary/synopsis)
Last time we saw Bam, it was clear that events were planned so that the Jahad family would believe he had died. Bam is filled with sadness at Rachel’s treachery and wants to know why Rachel left him to die.
Red Witch Hwa Ryun promises him that whatever he needs can be found “waiting up here” at the top. So, she rescues Bam from the Tower and becomes his Guide.
Audiences are aware that Rachel’s actions stemmed from resentment at not being chosen by Headon or the Tower. Bam was chosen, and Rachel was forced watch. It seems that Rachel was actually drawn into the tower by Bam because she was lying underneath him.
The rest of the team believed that Bam had died while they were helping him. They want to honor Bam by helping Rachel climb the tower, as she plays the role now known as Michelle Light.
Khun stated, “Whatever happens I’ll take Rachel up to the top of this tower for Bam.”
Tower Of God Season 2 leaps forward in time, to when Princess Yuri enters a floating castle, The Palace of Jahad. Yuri has retrieved the Green April and is now visiting Khun Maschenny Jahad (the owner of the Yellow May).
But Yuri is really there to visit with a princess. It has been five years since Bam entered Tower and Yuri doesn’t believe Bam is still alive so she asks that another princess search for Bam.
Ja Wangnan is the future king-in-waiting. In Korean, “naneunwangja ya” literally means “I’m the prince”. Wingnan fails Floor 20 tests despite setting such high goals. Wangnan, like many Shonen heroes, isn’t giving up.
Wingnana’s problem is that he has to repeat the test, which costs him a lot of money for regular living in the area. After his latest failure, Wangnan owes a large amount to Lurker & Cash. They’ve been sent to collect. The debt collectors plan to sell Wangnan’s organs so that he can pass the next test.
Wangnan has one more chance to persuade others to stop fighting and just ride out the clock. The strategy seems to have worked until the introduction of a FUG member.
The FUG is the most powerful crime syndicate in the tower. The FUG opposes the 10 tower families and is there to overthrow the current system. Test administrators view the FUG as evil.
This FUG member may seem quiet at first, but he soon becomes a true beast when the stronger Regulars decide that they want to fight. Wangnan is able to slow down the FUG with Shinsu bombs that look like Pokeballs, but he is saved by the bell at the end of the time.
Wangnan finds himself in a strange group of people after he barely survives the first round. In addition to the FUG member mysteriously mentioned, there are many Shinsu users. One Shinsu user is Yihwa, a girl from Yeon Great Family who barbeques everyone around her, even teammates.
Even the debt collector takes part in the test! His boss has coerced the administrators and employed multiple Regulars to assist Prince, the boss’s son.
Next, they will need to score their Shinsu abilities using an arcade punching-bag-like machine. Wingnan is sweating because he knows that only the top 8 strongest will pass.
Shinsu has many standouts and Prince isn’t dependent on his hired help to score well. The FUG is the true monster. He beats everyone’s scores tenfold just by touching the machine.
Wangnan is #15 on the list and is crying thinking that he will be reduced to a skeleton. Wingnan tries to convince FUG members to pick him, but it turns out that the winner is the FUG member.
FUG member Jue Viole Grace reveals himself to be Jue Viole Grace. He is a candidate for the FUG Slayer. Viole wants to kill Zahard, the ruler of Towers, and his entire family.
He considers himself to be the enemy of all and refuses to join any team. Some Regulars are wary about joining Viole’s team because they would be considered anti-Jahad.
Wingnan and the other Regulars are open to making a deal with the Devil if it means they pass the test. In the first story arc, the Prince of Zahard, Wingnan and Viole discover their fates to be intertwined.

The production house have to meet the artwork however, a single episode is also comprised of 3-4 webtoon chapter. AUTHOR’S HEALTH PROBLEMS (SIU)
It’s much easier for animators create animations using the entire materials. The idea of starting an anime that’s not complete is a risk that only a few productions will take. The Tower of God’s creator SIU was in a similar position. When the first season’s premiere in June of 2020, and SIU was forced to put the webtoon in the pause. Due to a variety of problems, the wrist ligaments suffered damage. Moreover, the ligaments also suffered inflammation that could have ended SIU from writing further chapters. But, SIU fought the illness and ended his hiatus the 30th of May 2021. Hence, the writer’s health is more stable than ever before. Let’s check if this can increase the likelihood of an upcoming period or not.
