Didn’t I Say To Make My Abilities Average In The Next Life?! manga, light novel and web-based novel series are compared against the Noukin anime

The story of Noukin is based on the Noukin anime is an adaptation of the Didn’t You Say That I’d Be Average in The Next Life You’re a? light novel written by the writer FUNA AND artist Itsuki Akata. On October 12 2019 the book series was currently up at Noukin volume 12. In the past, Japanese publishing house Earth Star Entertainment has released three volumes per year. volume 13,14 and 15 will be out in 2020.

Like other isekai light novel This series was first published as an Noukin web novel that was self-published on the novel website created by the users, Shosetsuka ni Naro. The series was launched in January of 2016. the ongoing web novel was more than 400 chapters long at the time that the anime adaptation’s first season started airing in the month of October. The light novels have taken on approximately 50% of the web novel’s plot.

The story is currently being transformed into an Noukin Didn’t I Say to make my abilities average in the Next World? manga series by artist Nekomint (or Neko Mint). This Noukin manga was already in the middle of to Volume 3 at the time that the first season of the anime started airing. Volume 4 is scheduled to be released in Japan by the beginning of 2020.

North American publisher Seven Seas Entertainment has acquired the rights to their official English translation of each of and the Noukin manga and the light novel series. As of November 19 it was reported that the English Noukin manga was catching until Volume 3 which was followed by Volume 4 scheduled to release on June 2 2020 (there was a delay as the originally scheduled release date was March 2020).

The English Noukin light novel is at Volume 7 and Volume 8 is scheduled to come out at the end of March, 2020 and Volume 9 due July 7 2020. The fan-created English version of the web-based novel that’s ahead of the lighter novels.

In an interview with the media in December in December 2019, director Hirotsugu Ogo explained that he selected the light novel series that would adapt into an animated series because it distinguished itself from other anime due to its female-only main casting.

“The primary reason I am interested in this was that, in Japan as well as the US the genre of isekai has become very popular. In this particular genre male protagonists are frequent. And in thisparticular, particularly, the main group, which includes the main protagonist, are all female which is refreshing.” Ogo said to Crunchyroll.

“I also consider the author’s interaction with and the main characters entertaining and fascinating. There’s a lot of meat for me to play with.”You might also like: Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear Season 2 release date: Sequel confirmed to be being developed

Light novelists may be wondering what kind of input the creator was able to provide on the anime. It turns out that FUNA was a key advisor.

“I’ve been to FUNA-san’s meetings about up to four or three times. The first meeting, of course was to introduce the principal staff, directors and producers, and to say hello. FUNA-san is also a participant in the process of recording the show,” Ogo said. “Actually FUNA-san is more in the role of an advisor, and the character is consulted whenever we have questions regarding the major arcs of the story or the general characters’ design.

If we stumble on a query we need to answer during the writing process regarding what the character’s motives might be, or something similar we’ll talk to him. It’s been a great collaboration and positive relationship.”

For some of the fans of the light novel series the explanations might not suffice. The adaptation to anime does make the unforgivable mistake of speeding through the source material. Sure, the studios of anime are forced to reduce the plot due to the time constraints of episodic episodes However, it’s how the adaptation was executed that has certain Noukin fans displeased.

Contrary to the stereotyped harem isekai story The Noukin Light Novel series defies the conventional power fantasy style of the genre isekai by making the protagonist Mile would like God to grant the girl the “average” happy life while returning to a world of fantasy. The novels establish the plot by giving the previous Japanese character’s background, making it easier to know what she’s going through when the story begins.

The Noukin anime adaptation uses the same non-linear storytelling technique like the Arifureta anime, completely restructuring the opening scene while condensing the plot points of character development. The show is able to jump straight into the the action, leaving out the backstory, which is shown only in flashbacks.

To be truthful to be fair, the Noukin manga employs a similar technique to alter the structure of the light novel’s story. However, the first chapter utilized an opening action sequence to explain how this seemingly innocent girl is able to defeat an orc with incredible supernatural abilities. This is why the manga builds Mile’s character prior to getting to what is known as the Cute Girls Doing Cute Things (CGDCT) comedy.

The biggest issue in the anime is the way it jumps right into sexual comedy, without creating the characters. The books certainly contained some jokes that were sexist but the show added an unnecessary fan service. (Surprisingly the show didn’t include a manga bonus chapter on Mile designing underwear for girls.

However the anime has amusing cultural references and jokes that are related to Dragon Ball, Doraemon, Ultraman and other anime. Much like KonoSuba the chemistry among the main four character is what makes the comedy enjoyable. The show devotes more time to defining how to convey the Cute Girls Doing Cute Things aspect of the story.

The light novels as well as the manga provide more detail about the science behind the “magic” in this world and how thought-pulse transmission can be utilized for controlling nanomachines. The anime has small scientific content, however, it’s a bit sloppy as compared to the novels.

Although the series did not skim and skip the majority of sources, it also included some original anime content. The hairy, purple Hunter with the cliched henchmen were made into the clearly villainous pedophile, to allow the show to make funny humor about a young girl’s Harem.

Unfortunately, this type of odd “humor” continued in later episodes. Do we really need to see a villain take a bath with a girl in order to comprehend that victims were sexually attacked?

There’s nothing special about these villains. They’re just plain villains that wear smug grins and take the time to talk about their evil plans.

Perhaps Project No. 9 was trying to mock common villains, similar to the way the story parodies the isekai characters, but the result was laugh-inducing rather than hilarious. The only notable exception was when Mile’s adversary during the match for graduation was able to escape without a fight.

In light of all the changes that the show had to go through, it was an possibility of using villains to support the idea that Crimson Reigna should not be so eager to kill , even though her father and her surrogate family were murdered by bandits. Although the series spent several episodes debating about these moral issues and when it was discovered that the “bandits” were, in actual fact, foreign soldiers sent to disrupt trade, the story did not make the point that Reina could start a war between nations by killing the soldiers who surrendered. However, the story did include jokes , and the matter was put aside before jumping to the next chapter’s story arc.

With all the changes and deleted content, it’s not surprising that the overall pace was rapid. In both their isekai animes in this particular season Project No. Nine also followed the typical isekai adaptation method of adapting 4 to 5 books for each 12-episode anime season.

Overall Episode 3 was the end of the light novel Volume 1 which was later modified by manga Chapter 11 which was the final chapter of manga Volume 2. Episode 6 was the close of the light novel Volume 2 but the conclusion of manga Volume 3 was in the middle of the story cycle.

The series’ speed of action increased since the story arc of two episodes about the family issues in the lives of Pauline Mavis and Pauline Mavis was concluded in Episode 8. The conclusion corresponds to the conclusion of volume 3 and was built on Chapter 76 of the web-based novel.

The anime has slowed down the pace down and Episode 12 was the conclusion of Volume 4 of the light novel. It’s likely to be the most satisfying ending point for the anime as Mile must be a fighter while the volume 5 concentrates more on individual struggles.

The positive side is that the light novel series offers lots of material from which to draw inspiration for developing Noukin Didn’t I Tell You That I’d Be Average in the Next World? Season 2. At the close 2020, there will be enough light novel published for the even Noukin Season 3.

For those who read only in English, and wish to get ahead of the anime can go straight to the fifth volume. The only downside is that manga readers who are only English must wait many years before manga’s chapters are synchronized with that first episode, not even Noukin Season 2.

Watashi, Nouryoku wa Heikinchi de tte Itta yo ne! The Season 2 release date

In the latest revision, Project No. 9 or any company linked with the making of the series hasn’t officially verified the date of Noukin Didn’t You Say I’d Make My Skills average in the next life Why is that? Season 2 release date. Also, the release date of an Noukin sequel been confirmed.

If the confirmation is made the post will then be revised with pertinent information. While we wait, we can begin to speculate on when, or if the Watashi, Nouryoku wa Heikinchi de tte Itta Yo Ne! The Season 2 premiere date will be in the near future.

Crunchyroll has been actively promoting the Noukin series for a while, and it’s been featured on the top anime page pretty often. In addition, Project No. 9 did an excellent job with the animation that is much better than what could be said about other well-known animes in the isekai genre, such as Demon Lord, Retry! or Arifureta The Journey From Commonplace to World’s Strongest, both of which were instantly renewed for a second season. It’s the Crimson Vow girls in the Watashi, Nouryoku wa Heikinchi de tte Itta Yo Ne! anime. Credit: Project No. 9
